Advertising Content Guidelines
To maintain a professional, family-friendly community publication, all advertisements submitted to Canafied must comply with the following guidelines.
Accepted Content
- Local businesses and professional services
- Retail stores and restaurants
- Community organizations and events
- Seasonal promotions and special offers
- Family-friendly products and services
- Clean, professional artwork and messaging
Content Not Accepted
The following content will not be accepted for publication:
- Adult or sexually explicit material
- Offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or abusive content
- False, misleading, or deceptive claims
- Illegal products or services
- Tobacco, vaping, cannabis, or recreational drug advertising (unless permitted by applicable laws and approved by Canafied)
- Gambling or other age-restricted promotions where prohibited
- Political campaign advertising
- Religious advocacy or promotional messaging
- Material that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights
Artwork Requirements
Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that all submitted artwork:
- Is print-ready and of sufficient quality for professional printing
- Contains accurate business information
- Includes only images, logos, and graphics the advertiser has permission to use
- Meets Canafied’s published artwork specifications
Advertisement Approval
All advertisements are subject to review before printing.
Canafied reserves the right to:
- Approve or decline any advertisement
- Request revisions before publication
- Refuse advertisements that do not comply with these guidelines or applicable laws
Business Categories
To help provide fair exposure for all advertisers, Canafied generally accepts only one primary business category per community postcard.
Business classifications are determined at Canafied’s discretion.
